One of the most beautiful gifts we the universe granted us is our ability to love. Surprisingly, the more you open up to others, the more you get to receive. There is no better satisfaction than witnessing yourself helping someone in need. We can’t really explain that phenomenon – it’s just who we are, it’s part of our DNA. Whenever you make someone smile, your whole spirit gets instantly elevated. To find happiness in social relationships, you must learn and practice trust, love, and the subtle art of giving.
#1: Trust more!
If you want to explore a whole new world of infinite possibilities, you must learn to trust people, a lot of people. There is no point living in the fear of strangers. Remember that your best friends and closest partners were also strangers before you got to know them. So just be open to new personal and business relationships. Give yourself a chance to exchange ideas and opinions with complete strangers.
Trusting more doesn’t mean you’re going to lend money to whoever asks you to. You must always be careful when it comes to credit worthiness assessments. My point here is that you should be open to new experiences and curious enough when it comes to new encounters – maybe the next stranger you will talk to will become your new best friend or your life partner.
#2: Give more…
… And expect less. The more you give, the more you get. This seems a little bit cliché but there is nothing flimsy about it. In today’s society, there’s a massive misprice of the value of goodwill. And I think that’s a failing of our culture. Remember the times when you helped a person in need and remember that feeling of satisfaction you reached through these acts of pure uninterested kindness. In fact, when you offer your time, your money, or your energy for the sake of doing good, the emotional value you receive back is so much bigger than what you gave.
We can’t explain this with science, it’s just how we function as human beings. It’s indeed a very rewarding feeling to witness your positive impact on people’s lives. If you haven’t done it yet, spend more quality time with people in need of your affection and enjoy the happiness of the moment through their smile. Don’t hesitate to give to the poor, you will receive far more joy and fulfillment than what you paid for. Be a fountain, not a drain. Shift your attitude from ‘What can I get?’ to ‘What can I give?’ and you will be amazed by the beauty of treasures karma has to offer.
– Winston Churchill
#3: Love more!
Love is at the root of every success. It’s the meaning of everything we do. It’s the pure essence, it’s the divine truth, and it’s the infinite joy. Without love, what do we have to live for? Love yourself, love your entourage, love what you do and do what you love. With love comes passion, and with passion comes flow. And that’s your target. You want to be fully immersed in what you’re performing to live the ultimate experience.
When you fill your environment with love, you become more inspired, more creative, and more performant in whatever you’re doing. You can then become a better listener and a better doer. Always seek love because it’s in the very nature of love to unify you with the Supreme source. You will undoubtedly awaken your charisma as a partner, as a family man or woman, as a friend, or as a parent. So just love more, be it in your personal or professional life. Love is indeed the way and the destination.
